Now that I'm feeling better, I thought it's time to get the camera hooked up to the new scope. The sun was just setting so the sky was still bright, but the moon plainly visable. Ideal time for working out the bugs. Unfortunately, that means a low contrast shot. Using zoom in liveview, I think I got decent focus.

I shoot raw, so that should be easy to do with any shot. Even this one.

I've been interested in true color pictures of the Moon lately. So I'd be very interested to see an HDR full moon shot sometime.

HDR was first developed for video, I thought...

Anyway, if you want to do still HDR's, the tool I use is qtphsgui. It's free and works on all the major OS's.

In what I've read, there's been very little done in video - I imagine because of all the time it would take to process 24-30 frames per second x the entire length of the movie.
