This week the Willamette Week comites three crimes against humanity.

First, for those that don't know, Willamette Week like like The Metro in the S.F. Bay Area, and like almost all the other "Independent"* weekly papers that spend most of their time complaining about how corrupt the local politicians and daily papers are, and have lots of amusing personals in them.

Anyway... This weeks headline article is "Blah, Blah, Blog: Thousands of Portlandes write daily Web logs. Here are 17 worth reading."

First crime: I was not listed.

Second crime: No one I know was listed.

Third crime: Livejournal (based in Portland) and no one on Livejournal were listed.

I will e-mail the authors reporting them to report to the Haggue for their court date.

*Independent? I have to wonder, with how it seems every major city has a "Willammette Week" or "Metro" of their own with almost identical formating, look, feel, what ever, you have to wonder. It's like it's one company, but with local writers in each city.

Okay, they have been informed of their painful oversight:

Since you did an article on blogging, It seems shocking you didn't mention, even in passing, Live Journal (http://www.livejournal.com/). It's one of the internernets largest blogging sites, and it is based right here in Portland. Come on guys, support the home team! :-)

p.s., Who am I to pass up a chance to plug my own blog, http://www.livejournal.com/users/adameros/

Who knows. They might even make a guest appearence here, and mavel at how someone with spelling and grammar as poor as mine can still garner over 200 readers.

I love the internet. (I will hug it. Kiss it. And name it George. (Then again, knowing where the internet has been, maybe I will just put on welding gloves, pat it on the head (after it's been muzzled and chained up) and still call it George.))

One again, I am slapped hard by the fact I should do more than skim before commenting (speed reading, it's not helpful, it's a life destroying addiction!).

Adam- Thanks for your email. You may want to double-check the fifth
paragraph in the story, as well as the context blurbs that run down the
side of the text. Best,
