Listenning to the radio on the way to the bar and back, they were doing a Pink Floyd night.
One song made me think of the state of current popular music, "Time". Time has a long intro, but it is not boring and it does an excellent job of setting the mood for the rest of the piece. It is artful and elegant and engages you.
Where has the art of the intro gone in current music? Current music trends either have the song start immediately or if they attempt it an intro it seems to just be the music from the songs chorus, and ends up boring you after the second bar.
