I suppose this will speak greatly about my taste in things.
Yesterday I watched Underworld and loved it. It wasn't deep or meaningful, but it acchieved it's goal of being an entertainning action flick.
And today I watch Napolean Dynamite and hated it. I felt like I was watching a slightly more sophisticated version of Dumb and Dumber, except in this movie everyone was an idiot. Yes I laughed at bits, but on the whole I thought it was a dud.
Also, I finally got around to read The DaVinci Code. And interesting book, but I would like more info on it. The whole shocking conclusion didn't interest me, but the symbolism discussed in the book did.As did the observations of DaVinci's works. I would like to research both aspects more, but my online searches mostly turn up conspiracy theories or people expounding on how great or aweful The DaVinci code was. My review of the book? It was entertainning light reading. Took me two days to read. I enjoyed reading it. Sort of a mix of murder mystery and conspiracy theory store. And like I said, I would love to read more on the symbolism discussed in the book and on DaVinci's works (plus I would love to see a picture of DaVinci's sketches of the Cryptex, though I'm beginning to suspect that was just an invention of Dan Brown's").
Where do you get 'The Davinci code"? any ole bookstore? They have some big PPV (pay per view) thing on the davinci code, haven't seen it yet
The book spent months at the top of the best sellers list, so most books stores should still have it.
