I think F1 has shot it's self in the foot with it's new rules. Take yesterdays race for example, Michael Schumacher get's hit in a corner. The damage is light, but it would take some time fixing the car, making a win unlikely for him. Now the F1 rules state you have to use the same engine for two races. They put stickets over the seams to make sure no parts are changed during or between races. So Michael, knowing he had little chance of winning dropped out of the race to save his engine for the next race. I suspect this will something we will see racers do all season, and I think F1 will suffer for it.
