One of those little subverse things that warms the soul. Pretty much every linux distro seems to have "ddate". Normally "date" returns the date and time. "ddate" is just like that, but it returns the discordian date. Like today is:

Today is Boomtime, the 71st day of Confusion in the YOLD 3171

As linux is rather popular amoung big business for cheap servers, there is a little bit of discordia hiding out at the root of almost every fortune 500 backbone.

Can I get a, "Hail Eris"?
