It's interesting how two phrases saying the same thing can impart total different feelings.

What started all this was seeing a Henry Ford quote saying, "History is more or less bunk." While Ford is hailed as an American icon, we also remember he was an anti-semite, a union buster, and helped the Nazi's in WWII, and had corrospondence with Hitler.

That led me to wonder how many other people who have done bad things are still regularly quoted today.

But also led me to wonder about the ties of evil and genius.

Some people will say someone is an "evil genius", as if evil and genius go hand in hand. Others will say someone is "evil, but brilliant", implying they are briliant inspite of their evilness.

If someone is evil and also shows inteligence, how would you phrase it? And who are some people would would define as both evil and briliant?
