We should meet up with the tour group today and go see some ruins, and continue to get acclimated to the altitude.
Last night I had alpaca for dinner. Its a close relative to lamas, and tastes similiar to.... PORK! I{ll bet your were thinking chicken, werent you. ;-)
It{s been overcast the whole time, so far, but I{m hoping for sun when we hike, so it{s warm. Otherwise It{ll be in the 40s while on foot.
Things, even things imported, seem amazingly inexpensive. I will need to see how much I can bring back before having to pay a duty on it.
One other thing, much like in Cozumel, the only thing ruining this is people on the street selling things who do not take "no" for an answer and keep following you.
Anyway, it is amazingly beautiful here. I think I will end up spending more on film and developing than on the trip, at this rate. I wish I could have found my digital camera, then I might have been able to up load the pictures on a daily basis. Oh well, you will all have to wait.
Oh yeah... Me in khaki pants, hiking boots, bucket hat, and photo vest. I am the uber stud. ;-) Oh well, the evil dictator look will come soon. I can{t scare away the natives too soon. So I will keep the tourist look till I have a firm hold on my power base. ;-)
