A huge picture (2.2Mb). This is a picture also from the beach. This is how it came from the camera. It's a little dark, but I just have to show off the sharpness of Canon F1.4 50mm lense. I love this thing!!! I took this picture for the birds in the distance, but it's only really enjoyable at full resoltution.

I failed to link my image archive in this post, but... If you go here:

http://images.adameros.net/displayimage.php?album=lastup&cat=0&pos=6

And click the green button with an "i", right above the image, it will display the EXIF info below the image, and it has all exposure information in it.

Nope. The camera records in in the JPEG file auto-magically. And the Coppermine Gallery software is smart enough to read it and display it.

I went with the cheaper canon 1.8 (on the same camera) and really like the results too. With the 1.6x body the 50mm falls right into the lower end of the portrait range - where too much sharpness can be a bad thing anyway. Stopped down it is also quite sharp and true for the money. BUT... the 1.4 IS the better lens I'm sure. This was my first prime for the digital and is soooo much better than the packaged zoom. I suppose you found the same ?

Yep. I used to love my zooms. Now in comparison, they seem so fuzzy.
