What's all the excitement about humus? It tastes like bean dip. I'm not saying that bad, I enjoy bean dip, I just don't understand the bouncing up and down people do when they find out they will be having humus and pita bread as an appetizer.

I agree. No bean dip here either. It's really quite different and much yummier than bean dip.

I just bought some hummus last night. I think it tastes like bean dip as well. I think maybe the people who are getting excited over it are vegetarians who don't get alot of flavors in their food ;P

I like it, but I most certainly don't bounce up and down when finding out I'm going to have it as a part of my meal...

Essentially, hummus is a "bean dip" as it is made with garbanzo beans.

So, do you feel that hummus and bean dip not an appetizer, but chips and salsa are? Just curious.

It's not a matter of it being an appetizer or not. It's just some friends who would turn their noses up at bean dip for being "low-rent" seem to get estatic when we pull hummus out for them. I just don't see there being that much difference. It least to my taste buds.

Hey.. have you been watching Monsieur Ibrahim?

Hahah I just watched that a few nights ago and it was the first time I've ever heard anyone use cat food as pate.. and now you say this? Very strange...

Oh and if you haven't... I HIGHLY recommend it. Awesome flick.

Nope. But I did see it in a movie a while back. 16 Candles, perhaps.
