How many posts is too much?

A couple people have taken me off of their friends list because I post too much, which is fine and I understand. My question is, how much is too much?

I started posting on Febuary 6th of this year, which is the 27th day of the year. So, I did not post during the first 26 days. Today is the 129th day of the year. So I have been posting a total of 103 days. During that 103 days I have posted, upto but not including this post, 352 times. That is 3.42 times a day, so just under three and a half posts a day.

While I tend to post in bursts, up to 15 posts in a day, I'm wondering if I should limit my posts, and if I do, what a good limit is, so I can keep readership. Also, should I limit the number of lines I post? I mean, if I concatinate it 15 posts in to one huge one, people are still wading through just as many lines of content.

So, the question is, should I limit my posts? And if so, what should the limits be?

Social darwinism and evolution?

Scientists have noted, that from time to time, there iare bursts of evolutionary activity. This does not mean that a lizard suddenly has fully functioning wings, but rather some have bigger feet, others have horns, some get sails, etc, all originating from the same species. Then there is a huge die off and the best suited survive.

In society, there is an alarming parallel. When economic times are good, and there is piece, people are far more tolerant, and people can express themselves more, co-mingle with people of other beliefs, colors, sexualities, and creeds. People let their inner freak flow. They be themselves. But when things turn bad (much like the market is threatening to do now), small minded people point fingers and blame those different from themselves. They find the freaks, the unusual, the people that do things they don't understand or approve of, and they use that to rally the masses. This has happened time, and time again. I think I'm a bit of a freak, and most of my friends I would label as freaks (please note, I consider being a freak, a very good thing. It means you are being true to yourself). This concerns me that as the religious right owns the presidency, and the conservatives are running rampant. What does this mean for you, me, and my friends? Can we keep the tolerance, if things go bad? Or will we all be live sacrifices to the stupidity of the mob, like so many before us?
