Every spring, I'm reminded that nature is a tease.

When the sun is out, it's cold and windy.

When it's warm, it's cloudy and about to rain.

The snow on the peaks are inviting, but when you get there, they are all slush.

Spring keeps calling me outside, and then dumps a pail of water on me, and then sits there pointing and laughing at me.

I am ready for summer.

I love the random things in life. Weird things jumping out at you from arround every corner. I love the non sequitur's in my daily life.

Here is a classic example. I'm driving down Middlefield in Palo Alto, and I see the house pictured above. A small, dark purple, unassuming, Ikeler(sp?). It looks down right boring, except on the roof/fence, in bright orange letters it reads, "HERE". Here what? Here is home? You are here? When giving dirrections to friends, "You'll know when you get HERE." What prompted them to put these letters there? What is the significance? I don't know, but I think it's a hillarious form of self expression. It's so random and off the wall (no pun intended).

Anyway, I just thought I would share a bit of randomness.

Oh... If you are on a linux system and want to do something truely random. Cd to your public_html directory, save a copy of your index.html file. Then run this command, `ln -s /dev/urandom index.html`. People will love going to your website. Really. ;)
