Well.. My parents are revisiting the idea of renting the house, this time they are willing to do a 6 month lease. But the want first month, last month and a security deposit. It's $1800/month, and the security deposit is $1400. That's $5000 just to move in! I'm wondering if that is a usual amount, or if they are just having bouts of wishful thinking.

Someone left me an AIM last night with the message, "I'm going to kill someone. I hope you don't mind."

First of all, my only rule for any of you deciding to kill some one. Make sure they have a job that I can fill when they are gone, so I can be employed again. The hire higher paying the job, the better.

Better living through attrition!

I read the following in docbrite's journal:

I learned from my Louisiana birding list that some idiot shot a whooping crane at Lake Bardwell, south of Dallas, last Friday. They caught the guy and the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service reportedly intends to prosecute him to the full extent of the law, but that doesn't change the fact that there were only about 40 wild whoopers in North America, and now there is one less.

I hope they make an example of the guy. While I general dispise it when the government decides to make an example of anyone, but in this case I think it's warranted. 40, oops, 39 left in the wild. At that low of a population, you can't consider any of them a renewable resource. In fact, In fact, let me go against Amnesty International here and state, that I think that if someone is found to, without a doubt*, to have commited a greivous dcrime like premeditated murder, serial killings, torturing of people or animals, or intentionally killing an extremely endangered animal, I think torture should be allowed. I think they should be put in jail for life, and every day for the rest of their life they should feel the pain they has caused. I think their suffering should be broadcast so everyone know what will happen if you commite such a heinous crime.

*"Without a doubt" means that there is no way the guilty party could not be innocent. You have witnesses, DNA evidence, etc.

Oh yeah, vote Harrison in 2004.

Dogs enjoy embarrassing their owners.

Take today for example.

I'm working on the computer and Daisy puts her head on my lap, demanding I pet her. Being a nice guy, I pet her. Next thing I know, my lap is wet from her drooling.

Right then, the door bell rings. I quickly jump up and answer the door. It's an AirBourne Express delivery guy. He looks at me, sees my wet crotch, and get's a funny look.

I tell him, it's just my dog.

He gets an even funny look.

I swear, I could hear Daisy laughing in the background.
