Ceci n'est pas une personne.

(no subject)

Every couple days to a week I change my desktop image. Almost always, it's set with pictures I've taken. There are a number of picture that have no real subject. I just take them because of the symetry, or the color, or other things that make pleasant backgrounds.

Anyway, I thought I would share in hopes you would share what your back ground images are.

Last week:

The start of a render farm? Perhaps, but more likely they will used to do realtime sound controlled visuals in the bonus room.

"They," you ask?

I've now got 6 pentium-3 500's. A friend had them, dreaming of his own render farm, but he lacked the space for them.

This leaves me with a couple issues... I need to obtain some cheap displays (someday, data projectors). And I need to improve the cooling in that room. It is already way to warm in there in the summer (leading to the premature demise of one of my SCSI drives).

So, two compacs, two dells, and two franken-boxs. And then my main box to rule them all.

On second thought, I might make one of them a file server, and another a dedicated webserver, so I can reboot Akira without guilt.

The first day of class was great. I need to buy Photoshop CS. The student version is $300! Ouch!!!!!

But the teacher is CUTE. Is it wrong to flirt with your teacher?
