I sense you taking the last Girl Scout Cookie. You bastard!

And Girl Scout cookies... Did they change the Thin Mint recipe? The box I got this year had almost no mint flavor. It was rather disappointing. But the samoas more than made up for it...

I was supprised at how little the troop keeps from eat box sold. It's $3.50/box and the troop only keeps $0.50/box.

[NOTE: I did not write this, just passing it along.]

Control, Alt, Delete

Why can’t there be a Control. Alt, Delete for the universe. I know I would have reset things more than once. There never would have been a shuttle disaster. Nor would there have been the attacks on 9/11. But then again, how do we know that there isn’t one and we just don’t have access to it. There are times when this world is just too much for me and I just want things to stop. I want to start over and get it right this time.

CONTROL, ALT, Delete. On a MacDonald’s computer that is Ctrl, Alt, Cheeseburger. I learned that from someone’s writing many years ago.

CONTROL, ALT, DELETE. To start over and hopefully not make the same mistakes the second time that you made the first. There are many things in my life I would have done differently. Different directions that I would have taken in my life. I would have done some things earlier and changed my life path in the process. Friends that I would have spent more time with. People that are now gone that I would have let know how important they were to me.

CONTROL, ALT, DELETE. To reset the computer. To shut down the programs that just aren’t working. And in my life, so much is not working properly. I am sitting here writing this because I can’t do my work because a program isn’t working properly.

To make relationships work is so much harder than making a computer program work. They [computer programs] don’t have any feelings (or at least I don’t think they do.) The real world isn’t that easy. To fix things in the real world means that I need to understand what they [those with whom I interact] need. I can’t even fully understand what I need let alone anyone else. All I can do is try to do my best and help where I can and hope that others will do the same for me.

CONTROL, ALT, DELETE. The three keys that I still want to find on the keyboard of the universe. And in 57 years someone will find them and this universe will be over. (Well, that’s what Isaac Newton calculated as the end of the universe and the coming of the apocalypse.) Who knows, the next universe may be even harder to understand that this one and we will be nostalgic for the simplicity of this life…
