Odd... Perhaps I avoided introspection too much. I was a survey in someones journal and I was asked, "how have you changed over the years?" Physically I've put on weight and lost hair, but emotionally and mentally, I can't think of squat. I still enjoy music. I enjoy news and trivia. I enjoy photography and getting out into nature. I enjoy being around people. I enjoy a good book. I enjoy sunday drives. I enjoy wasting time online. I enjoy being in completely alien environments. I enjoy sleeping in my own bed. etc, etc, etc...

But I don't think any of these things have changed in a long time. I'm not sure if I should look at this as "stability is good," or as "stagnation is bad."

From an outside point of view, have any of you seen change in me over the years?

I think we have a mutant garter snake in our backyard. It's about 4 feet long, and about 1.5" in diameter, but definately has a garter head and markings. Unfortunately he is faster at running than I am at getting the camera focused.

I need more ritual in my life. Not religious ritual, or even habit ribual, but more mental preparedless and build for the things I do to give them more personal meaning. I find each day melts into the next and I think I need something to make the actions I take feel more special. When I used to do rituals before fun stuff, it made it better. More relaxing, meaningful, memorable, and fun. When I've ritualized mundain things it's made the tasks completion seem more meaningful and given me more of a sense of accomplishment. So many of my tasks at work are the same sort of things. Creating accounts, reseting passwords, adding people to groups. I really love it when I get the oddball request so I can feel like I am conquering something new. But those requests can be few and far between and I really do need a regularly sustainned sense of accomplishment and pride. I'm hope the ritualization of tasks can help provide that.
