I mentioned camera catalog lust? Here is some serious camera lust... 39Mp (no, not 3.9, but thirty 39 mega pixel) digital back for medium format cameras:

Still not as detailed as the Giga Pixel Project, but a lot more convient...

Actually, I think the Giga Pixel project is cheating in the claim to be digital photography. The have taken old spy plane camera parts to make a film camera, of whicht hey then scan in the negatives. While also flawed, I'm more impressed with the project where the guy took a large format field camera and bolted a scanner to the viewing glass. It takes a minute to get a picture (no pictures of moving stuff), but it is all digital.

Looking for a secondary review before I order a cd...

I was listening to NPR and they had an interview with The Brazil Sisters(?). It sounded like some cool trip-hop, but Iwas hoping someone else hear might have heard them before I fork out the cash.

And now I return to flooding my cube with the glory that is Portishead.

I don't know if any of you are considering going to the American Le Mans races here in Portland, but if you get the tickets from TicketMaster and use the offer code "LEMANS", you can get your tickets for half price.

I'm still trying to decide if I want to go. I e-mailed their media people about getting a photo or press pass, but I have heard nothing back. And it is the weekend of the brewers festival. So if I can get a pass, I will go. If I can't, I will go to the brewers fest.

Mmmmm.... Beer....

Back from the dentist. The results are... inconclusive. He drilled out the tooth. The decay had barely made it to the pulp. The pulp is inflamed. I put something to kill the bacteria and help lessen the inflamation, and put a temporary cap on the tooth, and then said, let's wait a week. Either way it will get worse before it get's better. The pulp is inflamed and no longer has a way to relieve the pressure. This means I will hurt. But the pain should be managable and go away in a few days. If it is not managable or is bad enough to wake me up in the night, I will likely need the root canal. I thought I had two more cavities, but I was wrong. One spot does have some decay, but not of a cavity level, and the other spot a previous filling has impacted and cracked the tooth. Both those will need to be fixed soon, but it's not as pressing as the tooth I had worked on today.
