Todays headline reads, "Iraq looks grim but is doable, Bush says". Why do I have the mental image of him looking at a car wreck victim and saying, "I'd tap that!"
Update: I looked at some people commonly referenced, like jwz and quizdiva, and they have IPR's of 0 also, so I think that part of their script is busted.
They are a lithium battery, some LED's, packing tape and magnets. You turn them on and throw them are things with iron (signs, art, cars, etc) and the stick in a none damaging way, providing some color to an otherwise drab scene.
The part of me that dislikes these is the part wondering what damage the lithium batteries will do as they decay. I know large lithium batteries, if punctured, encounters water, it will blow up. So, but throwing these around are you really just spreading a bunch of mini-bombs?
Want to speed up your computer? Tired of waiting for slow loads of software? This might help...
Samsung has released a flashbased hard drive. No moving parts, almost no seek time, and 3 times faster reading and 1.5 times faster writing and uses %5 of equivelent hard drives. It's only 32GB and cost's $500, but it's also the first model, so I'm sure they will get bigger and cheaper. Put swap/paging on there and notice the speed increase over all.
