Finally a break in the weather! Has spring finally sprung? This is from my drive home from work last night. Also, the lambs and baby alpaca's at the farms I pass too and from work are too cute for words.

This seemed like a briliant observation in the truck, but typing it up is seems less so. But what the hell, I'll share my driving epiphany.

I was listenning to NPR discuss the national colors of Mexico, red, white, and green, and the color of the U.S.A., red, white, and blue and it occurred to me a subtle unintended oddity in our natyional colors, or "color". You see, you mix red and blue and get purple, add the white and you get a pastel mauve. Why this is an oddity is, purple and purple replate colors are the colors of royalty.

Royalty, something we as a nation fought to escape and vowed never to become. And there, but for a little combining of our national colors, we have the hall mark of royalty laughing at us. A subtle self inflicted jibe.

Perhaps the allusions to the Bush family being Americas bubling despotic royalty is infact our true color muddily peeking out.
