I'm feeling the urge to design some more fliers for Beau. I recently got a book of posters for shows at The Filmore (East and West) from the psychedelic years. I don't think I can pull it off, but I would like to try emulating Lee Conklin
's style. The man is nothing less than a genius, with all the images hidden in images and excellent use of symbolism.
I would also like to emulate these other works I saw online. I have no idea who the artist is, but it is such a brilliantly simple idea that I think it would be clean, eye catching, tedious, but simple to do: http://thomasbroome.se/mm_1.htm

Anyway, tonight, if there is W-Fi at the venue, I'll be going to a Party and discussing this with Beau (I'm on call, so I need to stay where I can connect back into work and fix things if needed).
Tomorrow I wander on over to the DMV for the written drivers test. The written one is the hard one. The driving one is a a cake walk. I've never failed either one, but I remember the written one being excessive picky, with questions like, "If you car weight 2800lbs, and is travelling at 65mph, and is using such-and-such tires, and does not have anti-lock breaks, what is the stopping distance with in a 2 foot margin of error?" I exaggerate, but not by much.
So Sunday will be art day.
