Personally, I think Judges need to be additionally trainned in the fields of science they are casting rulings on.

In this case a Judge in Texas has decided that RAM in a computer should be considered a document (like a piece of paper), and all content of the RAM needs to be stored for a number of years in case of law suit.


Assuming this were possible, the amount of storage needed would be staggering, and it would bring the computer to crawl.

This ruling shows the Judges doesn't know anything of a technical nature about computers, which has me wondering why Judges are no recused from the bench if they lack the basic knowledge to make an appropriate ruling.
