Maybe someone here can help. As I mentioned, I was too late to adopt that other dog. Here is what I'm looking for:
I'm looking for either a Bernese Mountain Dog, a Saint Bernard, or a Greater Swiss Mountain Dog. It must be a female (for the temperament and not marking her territory, not for breeding purposes).
This dog is going to be a hiking companion, so she needs to have a family history of good joints, tendons, and ligaments.
I was hoping for a young adult, too skip the chewing stage, so if someone has a female that didn't work out for breeding, that would be great. I could also go with a puppy as well, but that is my second choice.
She does not have to be show worthy, just healthy for hiking, camping, and other outdoor activities. Also, she doesn't need to be a pure breed. A cross with another large breed would be great. Just as long as it's not an aggressive breed, as I want her to be good with other dogs, cats, people, and kids (I don't want to worry about her lunging at people/pets we pass when out for a walk).
Go forth and help me find the dog of my dreams! Remember I'm in the Seattle area, so she needs to be close enough that I can check her out before adopting her.

The adoption papers have been sent. Hopefully I'm approved. If so, who wants to join me on the road trip to Deer Park, WA to pick her up?

From the dog adoption people:
I think it's time for a "squeeee!!!!!"
I have sent this to the board and they will approve/or not by today! Thanks so much (I am guessing you are a go) So we would just need one picture of the inside of your home main room area! Thanks

Valentines is coming, and I think it's time to make some very inappropriate M&Ms...

Each message can be two lines, eight characters per line. Not big enough for "yo momma" jokes, but I'm sure something equally as tasteless can be thought up.

It looks like I'll be heading out Saturday to get meet, and hopefully get, the dog! :-)
I hope she likes my house.
