I'm an old man. Or at least that how I feel after this weekend kicked my ass. I'm currently fighting, a cold, I think. I have that initial cold feeling at the back of the throat.

But it was the fun weekend. Though I think I was the most boring person alive yesterday, with how tired I was.

I just need a weekend to recover from the weekend.

How should someone's writing reflect upon the author? Should someone's fantasies and fictional creations hold sway over what sort of positions they should hold on the LiveJournal Advisory Board?

Case in point, if you do a google search on "legomymalfoy", you will find a wide range of slash fiction, including Harry Potter themed ones of Snape raping Harry.

On one level I respect the freedom of speech and that this is simply a fictional work.

But on the other hand, when the media is up in arms about pedophiles on other social networking sites, wouldn't electing legomymalfoy to a position on the LJAB just be adding wood to the fire and asking for the media to attack LiveJournal?

Life is like skiing. If you aren't falling down you aren't a) pushing yourself hard enough and b)you are not learning.

This weekends lesson was to always check ALL the settings on your camera after letting someone else use it. There were pictures taken in the bowling alley using my camera. I then went to use the camera over the weekend to take pictures of Molly and I just could not get the right exposure, no matter what I tried. As I was going through the exif info today, I can see someone really skewed the settings to work in the low light of the bowling alley, and when I got out into the bright sun, the camera just couldn't compensate.

I should be able to save a few of the pictures, though.
