Wow. I just noticed I haven't posted in 4 days. That's how busy things have been.

Still alive. Still lovin' life.

Saturday morning I got up at OMG-O'Clock in the morning to catch a cab to the trainstation, so some of use Steam Rat's could catch the train to Centralia. The goal was to meet up with the Portland Steampunk community and go antiquing.

We got into town about 9am, and we found out the Portland crowd would not be there till afternoon. Much wandering was done.

A few pictures of the day:

Then our train didn't leave till 7:30pm, so when everyone else left, we still have 3 hours or so to kill till the train arrived. In that time I got a lot of pictures of Molly:

Finally we got back into town just as the Brazil vs. Canada Soccer game let out from Qwest Field, and a prom was starting across the street at Union Station. The roads were packed with people and traffic was not moving. After an extended wait, we gave up and started walking till we could catch a bus to the U-District. Then I called a cab from Molly's place and went home.

Sunday was a sleep day, with a little cleaning done better naps, and this week has been super busy at work.

I think that about covers the last 4 days or so.

So, I read jaylake's book Main Spring. One of the premises of the book is that the earth is on a giant geared track around the sun, and works like a clockwork mechanism. Combine that with listening to Pink Floyd's Welcome To The Machine. And then top it off with seeing one of those t-shirts with a picture of the galaxy and ad arrow saying "you are here". Finally, stir in one very bored Adam and you get...

That is the first draft.
