This weekend was pretty rushed, but Emily, Stella, and I got a hike in. A trail called Tubal Cain. I wish we could have reached the end, but time was not on our side. We didn't make it far enough, but there is the wreckage of a WWII bomber up there and and old copper and maganesium you can explore if you are brave enough. (cave are cool, but old mines kind of scare me, given the old wood supports and occasional dead falls).
A few pictures will be posted shortly, when I'm done processing them.
Oh, and we went to the Jefferson County Fair. Emily had to work 4 hours representing the Kinetic Scultpture Races, so I kept her company and brought her drinks and stuff. No rides, though. Well... Except the electric bull. I wanted to ride it, but Emily wanted to get pictures and I didn't bring my camera, so we were planning on coming back, but ran out of time. Sadly, you are all denied photos of my falling flat on my face. Then Emily had purchased some amazing food from http://www.delicious-planet.com/. and then we had a fun time at a bon-fire.
And all that is only a subset of all the stuff we did. It was a busy weekend.
Anyway, another great weekend. And this coming weekend... Emily and I having the beach cabin to ourselves. Envy me. :-D
