WTF?

So Thomas Hawk invited me to join a flickr community. It's a contest of sorts. You can read about it in the profile here: http://www.flickr.com/groups/dmu2/. Basically the people evaluate the pictures and vote on if it's a keeper or not, hopefully with some constructive criticism.

So I was expecting to get critic on my composition, the editing I did of the picture, etc. Instead the first comment I got was a negative vote because the kids in the picture might set a bad example for other kids. I suppose if that's all he can complain about, the picture must be technically good, but isn't he judging the image on the wrong things?

Here is the picture, with the critic in the comments:

Is that a subtle form of trolling, or is the guy serious? *confused*

My bzflag dreams....

Let me just say, I know it's old school, but I love bzflag. Up to 200 people in a map blasting the crap out of each other. It takes something most games like WoW does not, reflexes and hand-eye coordination.

There are a few improvements I would like to see in the game, though.

Right now you can carry one flag. A flag gives your tank certain offensive or defensive attributes, like different weapons, shields, cloaks, etc. I would like a version where you could carry two flags. One offensive, one defensive.

I also think the cloaking device should make you immune to lasers. If visible light passes right through/around you, a visible light laser should do the same.

I would like landmines, oil slicks, and smoke screens. Sometimes you just gotta get the hell out of there and not have people easily follow you.

I would like chafe. Something where if you have fast enough reflexes to hit the chafe button (and you picked up the flag) you should be able to throw off a missile.

Better handling of inclines. Complete with resistance/assistance based on the angle. The steeper the uphill, the slower you go, the steeper the down hill, the faster you go.

The ability to tilt your turret up and down, with limits on the angle set by the map. Possibly even with gravity affecting your shots so you can arc shots over walls.

There is a radar jamming flag, that jams your own radar, it should also jam the radar of those around you. Then it can be both a blessing and a curse.

These are my dreams...
