Ceci n'est pas une personne.

(no subject)

Transferring the 400mb image file to work. It's taking forever and a day.

Last night I tried to tone map the image on my computer (1gb or ram, and 3gb or swap), and it ran out of memory.

Hopefully this will work on my work server.

Only an hour and a half until the file finishes transferring...

test hdr pano.

test hdr pano.

This is a non-tonemapped hdr pano.

I did this as an experiment.

Friday night I took 33 raw pictures that were turned into 11 hdr images, that were then stitched into 390mb TIFF file.

Due to the memory requirements for this, I had to do everything on command line, no GUI's. That's is why the stitches are not perfect. I'm not to concerned, though, this was just a test run.

This is the file converted to a jpeg.

Unfortunately my system does not have enough memory for me to do any tone mapping. (It has 1Gb of ram, and 3gb of swap).

Next time, I will need to use a real tripod. The little Joby tripod just doesn't cut it for work like this.

All the work was done on Linux.
