A Quark of A Different Spin.

Listening to Morning Edition, on NPR, yesterday, they were interviewing George Lucas. It was interesting what George's view on education was. That our education is mostly lacking in emotional education. This means teaching people to work in teams, social problem avoidence and resolution.

I fully agree with George on his emotional education views. I see many very inteligent engineers who continually fuck themselves over by assuming their ideas are best and trying to force their views through by force of will. This alienates them and turns people off to their ideas.

These people are are technically inteligent, they are social morons. Perhaps they fear that if they work with others they won't be viewed as a "wonder child", as they are used to, in their very spoiled way. In this day and age of diminishing budgets, businesses do not want to coddle spoilled self important "brainiacs", they get faster and better results with less inteligent people who can work with others.

The day of the single mircle child has passed. We are in an age of the wonder team, and there is no "I" in "TEAM".

Here is the show.
