First, the ship is on private property, so you can't really each it. We walked the railroad tracks from Picnic Point Park, which is about a mile away. (I thought all beaches in Washington were considered public parks. Shows what I know....)
The woman who owns the house said the ship was called the Queen of the Pacific (or was it the Pacific Queen? I didn't have paper with me to take notes). The beach was once a boat wrecking yard and the ship was stripped of it's metal and left to rot.
It is commonly used by local fishermen as a navigation point.
