test hdr pano.

This is a non-tonemapped hdr pano.

I did this as an experiment.

Friday night I took 33 raw pictures that were turned into 11 hdr images, that were then stitched into 390mb TIFF file.

Due to the memory requirements for this, I had to do everything on command line, no GUI's. That's is why the stitches are not perfect. I'm not to concerned, though, this was just a test run.

This is the file converted to a jpeg.

Unfortunately my system does not have enough memory for me to do any tone mapping. (It has 1Gb of ram, and 3gb of swap).

Next time, I will need to use a real tripod. The little Joby tripod just doesn't cut it for work like this.

All the work was done on Linux.

Dude, you know you really do some sick shit. And by sick, I mean freakishly ridiculous as in GOOD!

I don't often comment, but I am always going, "WOW!"

I especially liked the HDR self portrait and the hidden Lily in the field.

Too bad you don't live closer so we could discuss the process, and let our dogs play.

You should visit Oberlin someday, and meet the old moonbored folks. And get high. You know.

I should come out. But you should come out as well. I'm in Bellevue, and Heather is an hour or two away out on Whitby Island.
