Someone care to explain this to me? A couple weeks ago I was listening to KQED, and they were discussing a re-emergence of anti-semitism in The United States. The American Jewish Council claims that those who disagree with Israels political policies, you are an anti-semite. I have trouible dealing with this. If you co-exist with Jewish people on your street, if you respect the religion, but think Sharon is doing more to harm the peace process than help it, you are an anti-semite. For the AJC to make this statement seems stupid in irresponsable and anger those who, in general, support Jewish people and their faith, but do not agree with the governements policies.
Any thoughts? Am I misunderstanding things, or is the AJC trying to vilify people just for disagreesing with a countries policies, by placing an inappropriate label apon people?
