Well... I sent yet another hastily writen letter to our "President"...

From: Adam Harrison <eros@www.redginger.com>

Subject: Economicaly harming German with bite us in the ass.

I've read that your administration is planning on taking economic retaliation again Germany.

This would be a grave error. It would further isolate the United States in that, to keep the Euro stable, the rest of the EU will back German and try to retaliate economically against the United States. In fact, it gives anti American extremists even more credibility.

This war will take our relations with the rest of the world back a good 50 years. We have already burned many bridges. Your job is to think about what is best for this nation, not your reputation or your fathers.

Please, do what is best for America, and stop the aggression against Iraq. We have bigger problems. Such problems as our economy that needs help NOW, not in the 6-10 years it will take for the tax cuts to possibly work, if they do work (please review the economic stimulus idea I already sent you). And North Korea, is the other big problem. They can nuke our west coast, and they can destabilize all of Asia. And where Saddam is at least pretending to assent to your requests (though he has no means of reaching us with his weapons), North Korea is flaunting their total disregard for you and the rest of the world. When you look at Iraq, Saddam cowers. When you look at North Korea, they laugh in your face. This makes you look like the school yard bully that backs down when someone stand up to you, encouraging every other country to stand up to you.

Please, stop wasting time with Iraq, and deal with the more pressing issues.

Sincerely,
Adam Harrison

How long until I "disappear" in the night, with out being charged, and held for an indefinate amount of time?

Also, I was reading in the San Jose Mercury News that people are planning to block access to federal buildings, traffic in the financial districs, and block normal commuter routes in the major U.S. cities, if we go to war with Iraq. As I'm not employeed at the moment, this seems like a good thing to do, to try to encourage our President to stop on the War and focus on the economy (so I can get employed again).
