- The people in the neighborhood have WAY too much money. The fireworks started just as the sun set, and are still going strong. Not little fireworks, but huge ass mortaras going off on all sides. It's driving the dogs crazy.
- My digital camera SUCKS for trying to photo fireworks. I see one go up, hit the shutter, it takes so long evalutating the scene to try to pick a good exposure and focus, that the firework has faded, or mostly faded by the time it finally takes the picture.
- There is something very peaceful and relaxing about looking at the moon through the spotting scope. Visually exploring the craters from a hundred thousand miles or so away. I really wish the turn the moon red projevt worked. They had picked one night, and everyone in the world who was able to see the moon at a particular times was supposed to point thier lazer pointers at it and light it up. Even if they had enough people, I doubt people would have good enough aim, though. As a side note, I don't think I mentioned this before, but the planet I've been spying... I'm pretty sure it's Jupiter as I can see four moons, and no ring. Jupiter is the only one close enough and/or big enough, and has enough moons and no rings.
