Next time you are cruisin' Japan Town for porn, it's good to know what to ask for.

Weird... Looks dorky, but might be fun to try. Though I suspect people will just think I'm like the stange homeless lady on the bus who talks to everyone, including herself.

With the science of miniturization, this is the best they can do?

True english, as from limey land.

This elf packs heat.

But, where is the indian?

The original concept for the Lincoln Memmorial. Whis the original inscription being, "It's good to be the President." [ATTENTION faeriez: Don't open at work.]

if these are "enviromentalists" they think about as much as PETA

(Permanent Link)
the ELF organization looks stupid- okay, they burn a condo project worth millions that is likely insured.. they cause a fire that eats up oxygen, puts toxic fumes into the air, and potentially wastes fresh water when the firefighters arrive. Then more construction and more trees are felled when the construction company has to go replace what they've burned down.

Um, this was to help save the environment - HOW?

I understand some of their tactics, and I don't understand others. But basicly, they are against mans ever widening footstep on the earth, and the further reduction of nature. So they do destructive acts to dely building and forrestry, and things to raise the cost of engaging in such business ventures to a prohibitive level. Sometimes, even at the risk of peoples lives.

Remember, even if a building is insured, you have to pay the deductable and higher premiums. Plus having to pay your workers more, for them taking the risk of working where there might be fire bombs. And any fines you might be liable for if the project is not completed on time.

Then there is the cost to society in the form of fire supression and law enforcement. And everyone elses insurance going up.

We say we hate their actions, but if they can keep it up long enough, we will hate the increases in taxes and insurance even more, and give in to their demands to save money in those other areas.

While I do admit, I agree with some of their goals, I can not abide by their actions. Though, if how the logging industry treats protesters are any indication, I can't abide by big businesses actions either.

Much like I think Hamas and the Settlers" in Isreal should all be locked in cages, as they seem to only beable to act like animals.

Rant: if these are "enviromentalists" they think about as much as PETA

I am an environmentalist, maybe that's why I dislike idiocy on the part of people who call themselves that. Their behavior still strikes me as idiocy. Attention getting all by itself doesn't impress me.

Also, there's the possibility of fire fighters getting injured, or that they'll be tied up or exhausted from fighting arsonists and unable to help save people's lives. I saw that fire picture and thought of them. I realize that ELF doesn't actually care about humans, but I happen to think fire fighters are crazy ass modern heroes, running in to save other people from situations that cause almost everybody else's instincts to scream avoidance. My cousin was a volunteer fire fighter, she's now out in Oregon teaching kids about nature.

I hate the logging industry's hold on the government. They pay millions of dollars to re-election campaigns to assure that US protected lands get opened up for their logging purposes. Those lands were protected cause the public had felt they *shouldn't be* LOGGED and turned into buildings, government dummies!!!

I also hate how hemp, a cheap, natural, *easily renewable* resource that could be grown in fields not grown as forests to make paper, rope, and oils, was criminalized. And continues to be a contentious bone cause of its relatively minor drug qualities instead of being made the logical choice for protecting the environment and US paper needs. Its medical use is also interesting.

Also, I think legalization and popularization of this:

worldwide, would also help the environment. anywhoo..

No idea what to say about Israel.
ending rant.
