Weird. I just went to get my Dad's belated b-day gift. My Mom gave me money for the camera, and I bought the memory card and extended warranty. The weird thing was, even though I was paying cash, they wanted to see my drivers license and credit card. Well, I just had my passport and my credit card is expired (waiting for the new one in the mail), and he had to call in to ask if it was okay to sell to me even though I didn't have those things. This was at the Shutter Bug in Washington Square Mall, btw.
So, any idea why? Is this some new Patriot Act weirdness?
Has anyone else experienced something like this?
I think I shall have to call their corparate HQ, and ask.
