Well.. My parents are revisiting the idea of renting the house, this time they are willing to do a 6 month lease. But the want first month, last month and a security deposit. It's $1800/month, and the security deposit is $1400. That's $5000 just to move in! I'm wondering if that is a usual amount, or if they are just having bouts of wishful thinking.
