I have a system at work running ME and one at home running 2000. If they run at 100Mb it's like they have buffer overflow issues. Small amounts of data are transmitted just fine, but it drops large packets. Like web browsing, text comes up just fine, images will never load. Or sshing sites off net works, but sshing hosts on the local nets fails. The packets are so corrupted that they kill the linksys router at work. If I drop the data rate to 10Mb, the problem pretty much goes away. Both these systems worked fine until the Microsoft Security Service Packs were installed.
Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a more elegant solution that slowing the speed of the network card? Though even that isn't perfect, as it will still kill the Router every couple days at 10Mb.
I looked a couple days ago and I couldn't find anything on Microsofts site about this.
