I was thinking of pink_pinup's mentioning of the bumper sticker "Obedient women rarely make history". Where I park for work, there is a car with that sticker. It makes me thinkof Disney villians.

Have you noticed how in older Disney films, the villians are the interesting characters. The hero's were very bland, but the bad guys had panache. Especially the female villians. The male villins wanted money, a kingdom, etc, and took brute force means to achive their goals. The female villians, on the other hand, were subtle, scheming, as were their motives. The female villians were not feared for their strength, armies, or even their magical abilities, really. They were feared for their minds.

It makes me wonder if the villians of yesterday should be the heroines of today?
