I have so many thoughts on this:

First, if the tests are manditory, will the results be kept private? Is this the beginning of a Nazi-esque policy to weed out mental illness through breeding control?

What if the numbers are far higher than they expected to find? Will it be called an epidemic in an effort to cause a panic? Will the loosen the standards for sanity?

Given the conservative nature of the administration will they label homosexuality a mental disease?

Or labelling people who have abortions as unfit? The anti-abortion thought being, if you could kill your own child/feteus, then you must not be in your right mind.

As this is would be a government study, if someone feels they are misdiagnosed, can their appeal their results? Especially since it seems a person could in this day and age go to five different doctors and be labelled with 5 different labels, and be prescribed 5 different therapies or medications.

Could employeers or insurance companies every get this information and deny you work (illegal, I know, but that doesn't mean it doesn't happen) or health coverage?

This proposed testing, on one hand could help millions if used right, could also harm millions if used incorrectly. What safe guards are in place for the subjects of the tests?
